How to Connect to Wi-Fi?

Please try downloading our new app, Viidure, from the App Store or Google Play Store. On your dash cam, tap the "Directory" icon at the bottom right of the screen to access the settings and enable "Phone Connectivity." Then, return to the home screen, and the dashcam's display will show a green Wi-Fi light. Next, open your phone's Wi-Fi settings, locate the matching Wi-Fi network (X5_cam), and connect to it. (The default Wi-Fi password is 12345678). Once connected, you may see a "No Internet Connection!" message when connected to the device's Wi-Fi. This is normal, as the network is only for data transfer and does not provide internet access. Please ignore this message and proceed to the app to check if the connection is successful.

How to Change the WiFi Password?

Open the settings in the mobile app, locate the WiFi password, enter the new password twice to make it effective. After the new password takes effect, you need to restart the dash cam and then reconnect it through the mobile app.

Effective Wi-Fi range

Since the phone connects to the dash cam via its built-in WiFi, the signal will weaken and eventually disconnect if the phone is more than 10 feet (approximately 3 meters) away from the dashcam. Additionally, if the dashcam loses power, the connection will also be interrupted.

Why does the dashcam get hot?

Our dashcam does not have a built-in battery, it is normal to get hot during operation, it will not affect the use of dashcam and safety problems, please do not worry.

Can I view the footage remotely?

Since the dash cam connects to your phone via its own built-in WiFi, this WiFi only supports data transfer and does not provide internet access. If your phone is more than 10 feet (approximately 3 meters) away from the dash cam, the signal will weaken until the connection is lost. Additionally, if the dash cam loses power, the connection will also be interrupted. Therefore, you cannot remotely view the dashcam's live feed in real-time. The app’s primary function is to view and download pre-recorded videos from the dashcam. It is recommended to connect to the dashcam's WiFi to download and watch videos as needed.

How to save a video

Method 1: After saving a video via the app, Android devices store the video in the File Manager under a folder named the same as the app. For iPhones, videos are saved directly to the Photos app.
Method 2: Use a card reader to transfer videos from the memory card to a computer, then share them.

Memory Card Error

A: The dash cam does not support hot-swapping the memory card. Inserting/removing the card while powered on may cause storage card abnormalities. In such cases, pressing the reset pinhole can resolve the issue.
B: What is the capacity of the memory card being used? The maximum supported capacity is 256GB. If the customer uses a card with a larger capacity, it will not be recognized.
C: Open the APP and tap the "Format Storage Card" option within the APP. Check if the formatting completes successfully. If a formatting failure message appears, the card is likely damaged.

Unable to connect to the phone

If the dash cam cannot connect, please check the following:
1.Ensure you have downloaded the correct app.
2.Verify if your phone can detect the WiFi network with the same name as the dashcam.
3.After connecting, the WiFi icon on the dashcam should turn green.
4.Turn off your 4G/mobile data and try reconnecting.

Do I need to manually clean up/delete the files?

As our dashcam features a loop recording function, the SD card will automatically overwrite the oldest recorded footage once it is full, freeing up storage space for new recordings. This effectively resolves insufficient storage issues, so there is no need to manually delete videos. However, we recommend backing up important footage to your computer or phone promptly to prevent it from being overwritten by new recordings.
Note: Formatting the SD card will erase all stored videos.[It is recommended to manually format the device once every 1-2 months.]

Incorrect password or forgot password?

If you forget your password or encounter a password error after changing it, please locate the "Restore Factory Settings" option in the device menu of your dash cam and reset the X5 to its factory settings. After the reset, the password will revert to the default WiFi password: 12345678.

Was the video not saved?

1.The dash cam will automatically trigger an emergency recording when a collision is detected. This video will be saved separately in the "Urgent" folder under "Playback". We recommend checking the "Urgent" folder first for accident footage or connecting the memory card to a computer to search for related videos.

2.Try updating the firmware to verify if the dash cam can record videos properly.

3.The issue may be caused by a faulty memory card. We recommend replacing the memory card.

Why is the live video stream blurry?

When viewing the video stream in real-time, the video quality may be compressed to optimize data transfer. To check the actual video quality, click the Download button in the bottom-right corner of the live view to save a video clip to your phone. This allows you to view the original, uncompressed footage.

The camera is not clear

Cause Analysis:
If there are obstructions, dirt on the machine's lens, or water stains and dirt on the car's windshield, the captured images may not be clear.

Solution:
Check if the lens is dirty or has fingerprints; before shooting, use lens paper to clean the lens; check if the lens protective film has been removed; if the windshield is not clean, wipe it with a cloth.

Rear Camera Screen Not Displaying / Black Screen

Please check if the cable for the rear camera is securely connected. Ensure that the connection interfaces are not loose, and verify that the ports on both the front and rear cameras are firmly in place.

How to use the static cling sticker?

Mounting Instructions (Follow the steps below strictly in order):

2.Peel off the protective film from the static cling sticker and apply it to the top of the windshield.
3.Secure the suction cup mount and press firmly for 10 seconds.

Important Notes:
1.Do NOT use wet wipes, alcohol-based cleaners, or any materials containing moisture to clean the windshield before mounting.
